Anyone who has experience with Motoro Rays - do you have any clue why our Motoro is not eating? She hasn't eaten anything substantial for almost a week, but she still seems happy - she's moving fine, surfing in the bubbles, etc. She's acting quite normal except that she will sometimes chew up the shrimp or other seafood that we feed her, but then she spits it out. About the same time she stopped eating, we added a new fish to the tank - we thought it was big enough and fast enough to evade her, but the next day, it was gone. I am concerned that now she has the taste of live fish and she's being picky and won't eat the thawed out shrimp that she used to love. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks!

We do 1/2 water changes twice a week, have a huge filter (good to 300 gal) on a 120 gal tank. the ray is adequately sized for the tank, for now.

Some rays hate any change in a tank even adding new tank mates can upset the balance

Id say that she probably prefers fresh live food and now is being picky about what you're offering. when i transferred mine from nordic shrimp to NLS and Massivore they refused the shrimp afterward until a couple of months later. just watch her back end and forehead to make sure she doesn't lose too much weight. i wouldn't be too worried until a couple weeks passes then you know somethings up. and yes change could be the actual reason for this. stress??
