Motoro or retiic

I currently have a retic ray, and want another ray. I only have two options for rays in my area. Motoros and retics. I Have a male retic now, and would like to get a motoro. My question is, do retics and motoros mix well? should i get a female or male? I'd like to get a female motoro in hopes of a possible hybrid mix, but of they dont, or rarley do mate, i just want them to get alnog and do well in the same tank. Or should i just get another retic(female this time)? Retics retail for $150 here, and motoros are $250(plus 13% tax), which is actually not a bad price for here. My choices for the motoros are an 8inch disc female, or a 4inch disc male.(both costing the same) but the female is by far the better looking ray in colour, shape and health.. my male retic has a 5 inch disc. any thoughts?

I have a small retic like yours They are $100 and motos $150 but they are hard to come by. Here in Ontario I wounder if ours traveled into Canada together? Probly first class.LOL.

agreed. plus how big of a tank you got cause motoros get really big.

Go for another retic i add a 2 motoro and 2 retics . The motoros just ate all the food before the retics could even get to it . In the end i add to sell them as there started getting thin .

I went for the motoro. I have a buyer for the retic as well. I got a W/C female, looks like a triple spot with a 7-8inch disc. I already have her on Bloodworm,tillapia fillet,fresh shrimp and squid. She loves them all! it was a huge relief to see her gobble down all of the food offered. the retic also followed suit and ate fillet and squid for the first time. The motoro is very active and extremly friendy as well. sorry for going against what everyone recommended, but i couldnt resist. I have a great home for the retic to go to this week.
She was priced at $285 but i got her for $190... which was a great price IMO as the retic was $130 for a 4inch disc.

They are both in a 60x18x24 right now. filtration is an FX5,a 405, and two maxi-jets.
Befor i get flamed, i already have the glass and plywood for her new home! im very excited about that. My intentions are to go with a tank that is 66x48x24. I like those dimentions alot. I just have to wait for the whether here to get a little warmer as i will have to seal it outside. so it may be as much as 3-4 months befor she is in her permanent home unless i can use a garage nearby to complete the tank. I also have plans to add a male to the mix for her. heres a few pics of her....

Very nice! Why would anyone flame you? Only reason I find will be they are jealous! Not really but you get the point.
