Motoro pricing?!?!

Ok, I know how much they are supposed to be. I just wanted to relate a story that happened to me tonight. I just went to my local pet store and inquired about a 5'' male Motoro that they've had for about 6 months. Well this is where the story goes into fantasy mode. They wanted $389.00 for it! For a 5'' run of the mill, plain jane, smallish claspered male Motoro. He then tried to tell me that his price on them cost to him was $350.00! Uhhhh HELL NO! I was just last week seeing about getting wild caught Hystrix, and with shipping and everything they were going to be about $200.00 a piece. I could just about get an airplane ticket to Colombia (where I'm incidentally going this summer) and back for that much. They also had a very sad looking faded washed out looking Flower that was 12'' tops that he said was $800.00, and that his cost had been $650.00 . I don't know if they smoke "stuff" before they order or price their stuff but damn! I totally went off on the owner. I asked him if they were crazy. I told him how much they really are and how much they are supposed to be, and then I offered to sell him some if they were buying them in for $350.00 a piece. Well back peddle ensued and now his is going to get back to me with his wholesaler price. I told him I'd be holding my breath, pish. Has anyone seen a little Motoro for more then that? Maybe the Motoro knew tricks or sprayed sign language or something. I'm still stunned.:WHOA:
 
deff way to much for a motoro, but was it a real flower?????? id have it in my tank already if so!!!!!!!
 
There a store down here in toronto that has really good deals on asian aros but they sell 3" retics for $250. I guess they either got ripped off by the wholesalers or they think rays are still scarcely kept by people so they bump it up.

You know, funny you should say that. I was just looking at ray profiles and I'm starting to think that they have a Scobina and don't know it. They told me it was a flower and when looked it up it did not look like the ones I have seen. I was assuming that it was because she was not happy. I looked up Scobina and the only pictures I could find were the same three credited to j.p. something or an other. I need to see a good top view or at least one where it's not buried in sand. Does anyone have some shots of their Scobina?
 
depends on your local.... ive seen regular motoro for 50$ through $350
 
my lfs has a 4in for 250$ but i mean their prices are higher because they dont bring in alot....but unlike some vendors in here
 
you are sooo lucky in australia a motoro pup is 3000 you should be more gratefull
