i was just kinda wondering, my motoro pup only likes the carnivore pellets. he wont touch shrimp anymore, or even smelt, but i can throw in pellets all day long n he will stuff his face with it. he's so fat off pellets. but since he's eating them is it ok to jus stuff him with these til he's bigger so i can get him on meaty foods at an older age? he agressively takes pellets, but jus kinda nibble n runs when it comes to shrimp or smelt.

Yeah, it would be fine to keep him on pellets. Then as he gets bigger, you can stuff the shrimp and smelt with pellets to get him back on them.

I don't understand why you'd have a problem with him eating just pellets, and would ever want to get it onto 'more meaty food'. With the ease of feeding pellets, I'd love to be able to get my rays onto them.

RIght my ray only eats crawlers worms and dillies, absolutley hates silversides, fish flesh...she will occasionally get some bloodworms but my Geo's usually eat most of the bloodworms so its really not worth my rays effort to eat them.. im going to try pellets, never have to worry about feeding my fish sick worms or sick fish or anythign like that..

i jus thought rays needed more of a balanced diet rather then jus pellets all day every day. i mean dont get me wrong, i've gone years n years of feeing certain fish pellets n only pellets. i jus thought rays being as iffy as they are, prefered an iffy diet along with it. im glad he eats pellets but jus wanna be sure he's okay eating only these since its all he'll really touch at the moment.

THrow in some worms too then, EARTHWORMS that is! theres the meat u and the ray want!

Most pellets are super nutritional, and likely better than most frozen or prepared food. Their mix of ingredients is outstanding, and formulated for aquarium fish.. Earthworms and Blackworms have a risk of transporting diseases and parasites, depending on how they are cultured. Shrimp and Smelt can get really expensive, and isn't nearly as 'well-rounded' as your pellet diet.

I say your a lucky guy, and should be excited your ray eats pellets until it's J-lo bootied. When it gets bigger, just keep upgrading the pellet size until you can do the Hikari Massivore.
