Motoro pup question

Went to local pet store to look at "strange looking rays" owner had purchased. He had ordered4 motoros one doa one died the next day. The two I saw one had a great pattern and very small speckles in between spots. This ray was 4" at best my real question is could it be marbled? I own two marbles but where larger when I purchased them and wasn't sure if marbling shows up at a certain size.

Sure could be a marble. Marbling is sometimes present at birth and sometimes takes awhile to develop. Snap a pic if you want to be sure. Normally rays that are that fragile are retic.

Have taken pics but can't see clear enough but for 70 dollars i'm bringing home tomorrow

The picture is hard to tell but it looks like it can be marble from the spotting near the rim of the disc.

Sorry some of tiny black specs are sand but brown spots around rim shows up near head also

Yeah it would be hard to tell like KNH said marble sometimes start to develop marbling as it grows but after hearing you state that there is some speckle there is a possible chance or it can be marble mix with motoro.

i would say...no..its not a marble..
i could be wrong...

but 70.00 for that ray is a steal..

Looks like a super spot to me.

Any idea why the other two died? Just so you can avoid it with this ray. For $70 its still a good buy
