Hi guys i am soon upgrading to a 180 gallon motoro stingray aquarium in 2-3 weeks. I was planning on running a wet dry filtration system with a sump under the tank and was wondering if this would be the most suitable filtration system for motoro stingrays? Although i was planning on having some other species of fish in the tank, the tank is pretty much being built for motoros, (i was planning on having about 3 of em) so i want to focus on mainly their needs in terms of filtration. I was also looking into filter socks because i have heard that are a great alternative for wet drys, but am not too familiar with using these. I am willing to invest a pretty good amount of money into the filtration if it is necessary for keeping the rays healthy.
Also as a sorta sub question here, any thoughts on how long it would take to cycle a tank this size? I also have a 45 gallon running right now which i can take water/filter media from if it is necessary to speed up the cycling process.
Thanks a lot in advance for any help.

the sump will be great for biological filtration, and the extra water volume is great for rays, but sumps aren't usually the best at mechanical filtration. you're going to also want a large canister or 2 depending on tank size and such to keep the water polished.
