I just bought a motoro ray and a read tail giant gourami both are babies, i am wondering what other tank mates can i put with them? I was wondering if a saratoga jardini would be ok, I can't get my hands on a arowana for anything less than $2000 I live in Australia. Let me know what tank mates you would recommend.

It would depend on your tank size. That said, you would already need a big tank already with your ray and RTGG. With regards to arowanas, I believe it is easier to get arowanas over East (being from WA myself), I heard this from a supplier who used to get them from Sydney. Additionally, you can get your greens/silvers for $1000-$1500 (he said not to pay any more than that) with RTGs being around the $3000-$5000 mark depending on quality.

fair enough, I know for a fact there are no silvers going around, if there was I would have them. I know of a couple RTGs, greens and chilli reds but they are all big, I wanted a juvie. I was thinking, putting some silver dollars, and some nice dicus with the ray and the gourami, do you think thats a good idea or not?

How big is your tank at the moment? And how big is your RTGG? Because introducing newer fish at this point will be hard, especially if the RTGG has a significant size advantage and the new fish can fit in its mouth.
