Hey all this week im gonna buy me a motoro ray anyone got sugestions on what too look for at the store???
I will post pics in a later stage...
 
Thx and does anybody here ever had a aro and ray together??
And if so what kind of aro and ray??
 
I have a silver aro and rays....I've kept black aros with them as well. I'd stay away from anything else as I've seen and heard horror stories due to aggression.
 
Ive mixed them with silvers and black aros without any problem . Ive also tried arapaimas
with rays and asian aros with no incidents.

I have seen pics on the web where an asian aro attacked and killed a stingray so i acknowledge what Deathcurl is saying and it could happen.
 
Ok so maybee i should let the rays be all alone with a small silver aro..
Could i go with clown loaches??
 
i have LARGE clown loaches with my ray and aro...

just make sure they are big when you first buy them since the aro and ray will outgrow your loaches fast! it also helps to provide some hiding spaces!
 
I agree with Gr8KarmaSF. You can do loaches with your ray and aro, but make sure the loaches are too large to eat ahead of time. Most rays and aros will outgrow loaches and they could end up being snacks if you are not careful. I have kept loaches with my ray before and its cool to see them interact. But I found that when I kept loaches with my aro they always hid (even if they were way too large to eat at 6 inches) I guess for fear of being eaten. Good luck!

A tip...a healthy ray will NEVER refuse food. Have the store feed the ray in front of you. Don't take that BS that they JUST fed the fish, so it isn't hungry.
