Do motoros lose spots or gain more as the age? I have a pair that has so many amazing spots.

As they get bigger, there will be a slight increase in the number of spots through the rings.

As far as I know, spots will not disappear, but they can get smaller as females get pregnant. I guess the babies steal the spots from momma.

Thanks, that is awesome news. I have two pups that have alot of spots they, similar to an otorongo.
I will post pics sometime this week.

Post pics, if I am guessing right. From what you are describing, it sounds like your motoros are the dark variant with small bright orange spots. And I believe those are the ones that come from Peru.

Somebody color me if I am wrong.

sounds like it's a aka super spot. if so the older it gets the more spots it will develop

pic would be great!

My girlfriend has a graduation to go to on thursday so I let her use my camera. Hopefully by friday I will have some pics up.

pattern and spots will change as they grow... usually they just spread out... ive never noticed any new spots on any of my larger motoro's
