Is it normal for a motoro to have a double stinger? Is it a freak or is it getting ready to shead the stinger?

it will shed one of them soon. All 5 of my rays right now have two barbs.

Not always, I have two right now that are shedding the bottom one and 3 that are shedding the top one. Strange thing is that the 3 shedding the top one are males and the other two shedding the bottom one are both females.
