I have the option to buy a motoro Stingray (about 4" size) for USD 110. Is this a good price?
How long will it take to outgrow a 7'X2.5' footprint tank?

1. price not that great but okay for pet store.
2. it will take awhile for it to out grow the tank.

This is not from an LFS, but from a guy who is trying to rehome. So I have some bargaining power. Can you please suggest a good price?
Will I be able to keep him in the 7 X 2.5 tank for 3 years before upgrading? Just trying to get some time estimates. Thanks.

Is it male or female ? the females get bigger and tend to grow faster.

My tank is the same footprint. When I was doing my research people were telling me that a pair of Motoro's would prob be fine for 5/6 years in the tank.

I don't know whether it is male or female. Steve_b, do you have Rays now in your tank? for how long and how big are they now?

You can get better prices online but with shipping costs being what they are you won't be able to beat a local deal. I have a female here that is about 9 months old and already around 7", just moved her out of my 6'x2'. In a tank your size I wouldn't keep anything larger than a 12" ray, I like to give them plenty of room. I would say you will be alright for 2 years, maybe 3 if its a male.

id say you could grow it to a max 18" in that tank.

Yes I have 2 in there 1 x 10" disk Male motoro and 1 x 7" Motoro x Orb female. I have had them for about 3 months now.

in UK £75-100 but this how much thing is always a joke if you like the ray and you have the money go buy it or would you let a fish you want go that is healthy go for $20-30 or risk getting a ray you have not seen shipped and dumped on your door just to save a few $$
