Motoro Stingray?

How long could a Motoro Stingray last in a 225 gallon tank? It's a 6' x 2' x 30" footprint so a 180 but taller. I have Black Sand substrate for it to burrow in but is there anything else they should have in the tank? For diet I plan on feeding NLS Thera A Jumbo sinking pellets with Shrimp, Tilapia, and Earth Worms every other day. Is this a decent diet? For filtration I have 2 Cascade 1500's, a modified sponge filter, and an Aquaclear 110 but will probably be adding a sump. I'm thinking about ordering one from aquascapelonline.com for $125. Do you guys think this is a good price? Plus are there any special needs that Rays have?

I would suggest you go to the stingray thread and start reading. Planning on Rays myself, and learning lots there.

This is one of those questions where ten different people give you 10 different awnsers. As far as special needs for Rays? Go to the Rays forum and read your heart out make shore you have plenty of beer and coffea.
 
They are very hard to keep but very rewarding. For a 24" footprint, you orobsbly have 2 years max.

They are actually very easy to keep. I have some male pups that should stay smaller as they are marblexmotoro and male. Are you really in Florida?
 
They are pups I've bred. Max size isnt clear. Mom motoro is huge at 20" but dad marble is maybe 11-12" and they are both 3 yrs old.
