Hey fellow MKFers,

After a long period of research and an even longer wait for my rays I am proud to announce that I am now the owner of a pair of motoros. One is male and the other is a female, both are super fat and around 7" in diameter.

After searching through the archives to the best of my ability I couldnt find a topic that would answer my question so I figured I should just make a new one.

The person I purchased my rays from also gave me a small (4" or so) catfish that I believe to be a Liosomadoras morrowi, or false jaguar cat. Is this cat ok to live in the rays tank? He hides alot and doesnt seem to bother the rays, and I believe he's big enough that the rays wont try and eat him. His whiskers however are very sharp and already pricked me while getting him out of his transport bag and this is what worries me.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on your new rays! I was thinking about getting a tiger shovel nose catfish approximately 7 t0 8 inches to keep with my rays. I was told by a LFS they would fine together. I guess I will wait and see what other members have to stay.

My Tiger rays ate a tigrinus and a Juruense, :( both cats were approx 12"-14" long, rays were maybe 15" across, expensive ray food

DID THEY ACTUALLY EAT THE ENTIRE THING....., OR DID THEY JUST KILL IT AND GNAW ON IT......

Alright, well if the catfish wont hurt him I guess I'll leave him in there. It's not going to be a huge tragedy if he gets eaten...

Thanks all.
