Okay, this thread is dedicated to motoro rays completely. Any questions about motoro rays goes here so we can try to make one thread with all the answers.
First question: is a 6' by 6' by 3' tank suitable for a marble motoro x motoro? I mention the different strains as I've heard marbles stay a little smaller.

I think 6x6x3 is a wonderful ray tank. If it were me I might not got 3 top to bottom as it gets hard to maintain but breeding rays will use the extra height.

Yes, marbles grow to smaller sizes and there are even smaller strains of marbles that stay very small.
 
6x6 would work great. FYI my pure marble male is almost 2.5yrs and only about 12" across.
 
I'm not getting full marbles though. They're regular motoro and marble. So will they cancel each other out and I'll end up with like a 20" ish ray? I'm not sure how that works. Also, looking at the guys pups, motoros breeding with marble motoros is explaining chain links to me. Is that how chain links came to be?

This is one of the unknowns, it may take on the motoro size, maybe the marble or maybe a bit of both.

Males tend to be smaller then females so a male marble could maybe a third of the size of a female motoro.

have you gone threw with the tank and i wanted to know dumb question are you using a LxWxH build
