Lol....i have not done anything special for these guys then i have ever done for any fish...ok i put a fan on top of the tank to keep it around 70..other then that...nothing really i don't use chemicals for anything ..my water change water is dechlorinated by sitting it out for a few days.
though i have noticed they do MUCH better with a varied diet, more so them most fish i have kept..i was busy and low on cash and fed her only blood worms and pellets for a few months and she seemed to stop growing as fast and being as active...apposed to when her diet is varied. Live food dose not seem to be a factor in there health, BUT giving them something to hunt does seem to make them happier, as well as days skipped between full feedings.
She constantly has a supply of about 20 1/4-1/2 inch guppies in the tank at all times, i only feed her every 1-2 days leaving her to hunt if she is hungry this out of every thing iv done seems to make the most difference in there health (feeding wise).
I went collecting up at Baker Lake...didnt find any Scuds there but im going to go look at a few more streams to see if i can get ahold of any.
However i did find litterly 1000s of tadpoles!!! so many the water was black with them moving along in a HUGE mass..it was neat im going to try and go back up soon and get some video if it
