I'm gonna stick my neck out here and say a definite maybe 
Creek chubs get to be a lot bigger than dace and chubs will eat small fish. If the dace are bigger than the chubs and the chubs are well fed as they grow together you might get by with it.
Creek chubs are very interesting fish, where I used to live in WV creek chubs would travel far upstream in small creeks that were dry most of the year to spawn in the spring. Like miniature salmon but they are aggressive feeders and will eat fish that are small enough to fit in their mouths.

i gotta disagree. chubs will eat anything it can fit....ive put my whole thumb in chubs mouths. and a MRBD is a lot thinner than my thumb
