my female cichlid "plainy" has been seperated from the rest of the fish because i noticed her mouth and throat expnding with orange eggs a little while back. she hasn't eaten anything in about 2 weeks... and the expantion of her mouth and throat seem to have calmed back down and i am having a hard time seeing the eggs. What's going on here? How do i get some baby fish out this?
What should i do to get her to eat?

Thanks,
Ash

Ok...i'm assuming some sort of african cichlid? They are eggs for a few days, at 2 weeks they are probably fry with a large egg sac. Its a natural process, you can strip at 20 days (if she is getting too skinny) and have free swimming fry, but i would only do that if you know what you are doing as it can inflict damage on the fish. Or you can let nature take its course and she will spit them around 24 days, maybe a little earlier since shes separated. If its her first time she may have swallowed them if you dont see them anymore.
