Have you tested your water?
Yes
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

I bought some fish off of Aquabid, and they came looking super nice. I put them in my QT which has a fine sand substrate. Used these guys digging around the bottom sometimes and I started noticing some white around the mouth. I took the best picture I could. Water parameters are good, and I do a 10% water change daily. Do you think it is mouth Rot or is the sand just irritating them a bit?

Forgot to mention, everyone is eating well and active.

I don't see any pics?

Need pics.

Oops, ya pics would help.

Looks like it. Treat with clean water and if not better can add some triple sulfa, minocycline, doxycycline or oxytetracycline.

The female in last picture seems to have it worse than others. It is not uncommon with rainbows.
Maintaining excellent water quality alone may do the trick.
However, anti-fungals as suggested above may be a good idea. Stepped up water changes and some salt may have the same curative effect. Good luck.

She is the only one with it bad, and she is still eating. Most if the others have had it for away. They've only been in QT for a week, so there is probably a little stress involved as well. I have fungus cure on hand, but I think that is for Gram-Positive and it sounds like I need a Gram-Negative treatment.

One more quick question. So after a week of 10% water changes, most of the fish were looking better, but that 1 female still had pieces that looked like dry skin peeling off. I went out and got some Doxycycline and added my first dose last night. Now for the question. The box calls for a total of 4 doses. If the issue clears up before I finish the treatment, do I finish it anyways (I would if I was prescribed an Anti-biotic)?

Thanks in advance,

Todd
