Basically i've been given the go to build a fish tank/bar.
basically it does have a couple of conditions.....
it needs to be able to be moved, because the only area it can go is where the current bar is, but it maybe once a year needs to be swung out to allow a trailer through..
so is there a way to have a tank + stand that can be moved either half full or empty easily?
basically just try to get some idea's, no idea on stock or anything yet, trying to get the base idea down, then size, then stock that will go well with it :)
thanks for any help possible.

P.S. Bigger the better, thanks.

Yes as long as you source quality casters that are properly graded to withstand a said load per wheel. Then you over estimate the gross weight ( fully loaded ) & divide by caster numbering. The rest of your answering is the realm of design. Namely - yours!

Bar as in drinks bar?

its a valid concern bud.

You will find the proper rated and designed casters are tuff as guts. If steel makes you sleep easier, then thats your starting point for research. Your looking for a no BS solution to your problem, it doesn't mean being cheap and buy kmart generics and hope it holds. Its finding a starting point, & asking the suppliers whom have done the R&D to offer a solution.

yeah drinks bar, between me and my parents we mix drinks on top of it about every 2-3 days...
gonna try and do a quick paint sketch of what i was planning kk :)

Ok you gotta forgive my paint skills.
big blue bits are water, little yellow circles would be lights, big black thing filtration.
basically general idea and very rough, just an idea of what the plan is.

will be if i can do it :)
probably be atleast 6 months off complete, still planning and working ideas and if it's even possible lol.

I have casters that would hold this weight, they are a urethane compound that won't mark the floors(a concern with metal casters). They will handle 125lbs per caster and they are considered medium duty. 6 of these would be more than enough.

Here's a site for the place I got them at, they are local to me...

If you can, get the ones that don't swivel, the bearings are usually the weak point on casters, eliminate the swivel and the cost goes way down and weight holding goes up...As long as your bar just needs to slide front to back OR side to side , they won't cost as much as the tank/filter/ and fish!

With these the only reason to lower water levels is to not slosh the water out of the tank when in motion...
