Alright while I am in college my dad takes care of my 40 gallon growout tank with 3-3 inch bichirs (senegalus, palmas, ornate) a 6 inch ropefish, and a 2 inch royal pleco. Apparently while feeding them (as he does everyday while im not there), he accidently unplugged the power cord which the filter, light, and aerator were connected to.
This caused me to lose my pleco (hadnt had longer than 2 weeks, not fuuly acclimated), which my dad thought was alive since it died in the same spot it was always in. This caused the water quality to PLUMMET (looked and smelled like a septic tank). Not a fun thing to find when expecting to see my little minions thriving.
-So my Question is Will the switch from the 40 gallon to a temporary 10 gallon quaratine be ok while I re-cycle the other tank?
-Will it affect the fishes behavior, feeding, and overall well-being?
(10 gallon is only available tank, to small to put in 400 gallon with the real monsters)
