okay I tore apart my 120... but i saved the sand and put it in buckets with some of the water... do you think that I will have to do anything else to the the tank after removing the chlorine and letting it run for a little over a week....

I also put all the tuffa rock that was in the old tank in the new tank... about 2 five gallon buckets worth...(Full to top) a used aqua clear onto the sump as well...and a hang on the back old school dual filter... the sump is a 30 gallon with filterpad and a crap load of bioballs...1000 gallon pump that is cut back by a ball joint...I used my water strips and all areas came back okay... I have it stocked with tangs and peacocks, none full size still small...

Sounds like you should be ok. provided all the "used" stuff didn't stay stagnant very long.

Sounds fine to me. I always keep filter media in tank water.

steve thought I would be fine and so do I, but it is always good to get a second opinion. This is where my expensive fish go so... I did this without the seeded sand in my 135 without a problem... and my 55 with seeded gravel... so I thought I would be fine...

You will need some luck if your listening to Steve
