can anyone tell me what this is, I had it in hybrid but they told me to move it here to ask what it is?! I have so many fish in so many tanks and I dont know what half of them are

Now THAT is interesting. Looks like a rotkeil severum, but I've never seen one with a nuchal hump or such long fin extensions. And I was under the impression severums don't hybridize?

from what i have been told and what I have read they can NOT hybridize, but at the same time no one has ever seen one with teh hump... so I have no idea what it could even be, I got it from an adoption tank for $1 so I couldnt pass it up, and now im all sorts of confused!

They can't unless its with another Heros Sp. Majority of CA/SA species grow nuchal humps so its understandable to think Severums can grow them too.

Not to be a butt or anything but if you look at the nuchal hump it looks like a crappy photoshop. I have done stuff like this before on Flowerhorn pics to illustrate a point that you should be cautious when buying online.

Edit: That is 100% phtoshopped, can't believe I didn't notice that in the hybrid forum.

Its a really crappy photoshop too. Hell look what I did in less than 2 minutes....

so the little ones that I have now are not going to look like that when mature?!?!?!?

maybe a really really really old severum developed one... but yeah if it did then thats a genetic anomaly usually severums will not get a nuchal hump but yeah thats just a severum
