We recently bought our first house. This weekend we moved the tanks so I took the opportunity to switch from natural looking sand to black sand. Looking forward to seeing how they color up. The new tank isn't "scaped" but I may leave it that way since I could never see the palmas and retropinnis before. 20140323_151313.jpg20140324_165425.jpg20140324_165432.jpg20140324_165542.jpgrLdPTeP.jpg20140323_155204.jpg20140324_165351.jpg20140324_165416(0).jpg20140323_151805.jpg20140323_151812.jpg20140323_151820.jpg20140323_151830.jpg20140323_154124.jpg20140323_154129.jpg20140323_154132.jpg20140323_151518.jpg

You'll love black especially with that palmas palmas

Looks good! What size tank, 75?
Thanks! Yup, it's a 75g.

I am looking forward to her the most. I wish my delhezi hadn't jumped; I bet he would have looked amazing.
Congrats on the new home for you and your fish!

What's that other fish with your polys?
Thanks! There is a large (5 inch) leopard ctenopoma, a smaller cteno, and a synodontis catfish.
That looks like a pretty big retro. How big is he? Tank is looking really nice too!
Thanks; she's 9 inches or so. The only one I've ever truly measured is the Senegal and he hit 10 inches several months ago. I just judge the size of the others based on how long they are compared to him.

Bacon, wow. Love the fish, love the substrate, love the plants, love the tank. Very nice!!,

Is the grey one with no pattern a delhezi? I really like it. I agree with dr. B, with black substrate and only upper jaws you'll be seeing a lot of greens and yellows. That palmas palmas is very unique. Its patterns are very broken. I like it.

Im very jealous of your live plants. Ive been really getting into planted tanks up a school. Id love to be able to plant my 180. Unfortunately my afro would tear up the whole tank in hours, and my lights are only bright enough for fish only.

The grey one is my Senegal. I had a delhezi but he disappeared a while ago and we found him dried up under the stand when we moved it. I love live plants; all my tanks have them and I'd never go back to artificial. It's like having a garden in my house! Plus I think I get a lot more natural behavior from the fish.
