Well, new house, new fish room. Still have two tanks to move, but I got the 180 in place with my new sump installed. Fish are still alive. The wolf is relatively unscathed, but the pike.... He didn't handle the transport so well. Should pull through though. He's jumped out twice and survived.

Nice spot for the tank. Just as wide as the room.
Pikes are hardy, it'll be fine. And wolves ... I once moved with a wolf halfway across the country, 3day drive, and it did great. They're tough as nails

Congrats on the move and new place!

Congrats, Bet that's a relief!!! I did that not to long ago! Pain in the r's! Love your tank and setup! I have a few questions if you don't mind? Just got me a BAD ACE 4" curupira to add in my monster collection and want a darker sand, but dont like black sand one bit. Right now its white'ish pfs. Ive been hunting that red sand you have for quite some time and don't know what it is or where to get it! Mind fillin me in...
And where is your overflow for the trickle??

Hey Hydro,

Thanks and congrats on the new wolf!

The red sand was purchased from a distributor in MD. I'll check my receipts to see if I can find out who, because I honestly don't remember. I think is was something like spectra quartz. Comes in lots of different colors. I think is paid something around $1/lb shipped to my door.

And it's hard to see because it's clear acrylic, but the overflow is in the top left corner of the tank.

Everyone's doing pretty well in this tank now: Odoe is completely healed, my silver aro and RTC are growing every day, and the wolf is.... Well, as happy as he's ever been -_-

That would be awesome! Thank you. Your tank looks good the way it is and I'm sure your fish love all that room!

I've pretty much covered a lot of my sand with d/w and stones but I'm due for a rescape!

-So is your tank drilled with a bulkhead for the overflow then? I'm most likely going to drill my tank when I switch substrate and remove my fish to tubs for a bit. My new wolf has put a dent in my pocket as well as my mind thinking of ways to make his new home as comfy as i can for him and myself. He gets flushed out when he comes to swim, that's saying he even will before the lights switch off! Lol

Actually I was scared to drill, so I bought a hang-on overflow. Not quite as clean as my drilled 144 tank, but it gets the heaters out of the tank, and makes filter changes a breeze.

Being scared is the reason I haven't yet. So I've been watching a friend who does it at work to get the just ;) never seen or heard of him breaking any tanks!
