Well, I finally broke down and did some rearranging of my tanks. My pikes were starting to outgrow the 55g I had them in, so I moved all the smaller fish out of the 125g community tank and tossed the pikes in there. Here's the current stock list of the tank:
1x Motoro Stingray
1x Dragon Goby
1x Geophagus brasiliensis
1x Green Severum
1x Black Ghost Knifefish
1x Leopard ctenopoma
1x Archerfish
1x Rainbow Cichlid
1x Gymnogeophagus balzanii
1x Angelfish
2x Peacock Eels
1x Neon Jewel Cichlid
1x Sun/Eclipse Catfish
1x Pseudodoras granulosas (baby)
1x Crenicichla venezuela (~6.5")
2x Crenicichla alta (pair, ~6.5" each)
3x Crenicichla lepidota (1 male, ~6.5", 2 unknown, about 3-4.5")
The pikes have taken a while to settle in (I moved them over last weekend), and they're still actually pretty skittish, but they seem to really enjoy the larger tank space. The male lepidota has some amazing colors when he's excited, and the female and male alta's are really coloring up nicely. The female has really developed some nice blues along her belly and fins. The two smaller lepidota are starting to color up as well, although I still can't really tell the sex on them. The venezuelan still has a ways to go before I can tell the sex on it.
What do you think?
