MOVIE REVIEW: American Gangster

I thought it was good. Some parts were unnecessary and the movie was LONG! The fact that it was based on actual events made it better for me. I wouldnt pay $10 to see it in the theater thou, I think its more of a renter.

I saw it lasr night, I thought that it was pretty good. I thought that there was some pretty good acting, and I was happy that it wasn't just a scarface remake. If you've ever seen new jack city, some of these scenes looked awful familiar.

Only part I really hated were the rappers trying to be actors!

they actually shot part of the movie in brooklyn right on my block.

the scene when they tried to kill Frank's wife (drive by shooting), I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE!! i used to eat at that very same chinese restuarant!! they shot it at 1 AM in the morning, it took them hours to shoot that short scene... that was a year ago.
