I'm having my carpet replaced in a couple months. How would you suggest moving the 90g tank, on the stand, in the least disruptive manner?

I was thinking I'd partially drain it, then try to force furniture moving pads under it, but I'd like to hear suggestions from ppl who have actually done this before.

Thanks

If this is a glass tank, don't partially drain it, fully drain it and remove the substrate and decor. Only then put the sliding pads for carpets underneath it or just move the entire tank when empty. You don't want to stress the silicone with sloshing water and decor. Doing this a partial drain and moving on carpet with a 20g high was a pain in the arse, and that's when I was in high school. Too much effort for moving just 10 feet. My dad laughed and said, "You should have just drained it and removed the stuff." He was right... less effort when I moved it back. Sure it took an extra 15 or so minutes, but, that was drain time and removing substrate. Pushing an empty tank back was easy and my dad helped me carry the tank and stand this time around.

If it's glass you want it near empty or you could potentially weaken the bonds sloshing water around. Relocate the stock to buckets if you have to.
You can drive shims under the stand to get it lifted enough to then get a pry bar under it. Grunt down on that bar and have a brave friend slide the furniture gliders under lol.
