moving a 180gal

Hey guys,
so im getting a 180 gallon tank in about a month. It needs to be moved up a flight of stairs on a week day. I cant find enough friends to do this on a week day. so i was wondering if anyone knows of any reputable moving companies and what their rates are.

it depends on the specific manufacturerer, but Aqueon's (Allglass) weights 282 pounds for example:

so you will need 4 strong people to move it up and down stairs safely.


if it is an older tank with thicker glass (no braces) it will weigh even more.

When I got my 180, There was only 3 of us. 2 carrying and me instructing where to go. hahaha. My two buddies that were carrying was *****ing the whole time that I wasn't helping them lol. They would stop every 2-3 stairs and lay it down. Tank was in the basement! We had this thing right side up, up side down, on its left, right.. Like a damn tetris.
