hi guys. so so ive just bought an 840 letre tank and dont know how to shift it from one town to another. im a poor uni student so i cant professionaly ship it, i have a trailer big enough but i think the suspensions too hard, how should i pack it onto the trailer so it doesnt shatter on the way home?

borrow someones pick up truck. set it in the bed and dont whip around corners. it should be heavy enough not to move

unfortunatly i dont know anyone with one. wouild a bed and ropes to hold it in place, work on the trailer?
that whould do it fella but old tyer's whould be better the glass should grip to the rubber a bit also put card under the rope wher it meets the glass:thumbsup:good luck mate.

I just bought a 1000 acrylic gallon tank with 8 ft x 4 ft x 51 in. dimensions and moved it across a 3 hour drive in a Uhaul trailer rental. I was surprised my dad's little standard tacoma pickup could tow the big trailer it had on. The Uhaul trailers come equipped with floor hooks so you can tie down the tank without it sliding around. I heard from the seller that he knew someone who was moving a big tank in a trailer once and the tank had slid into the gate and bent the entire gate so it was impossible to open the gate with that broken gate.

My brother and I picked up a 220 and stand from 2 hours away. We just used my trailer and truck....12x6 utility trailer with 4' walls and 2008 F-150 XLT 4x4 supercab. It was secured with ratchet straps (cardboard and blankets around edges and glass) and it worked just fine.

Note....the tank will be heavy!!! Make sure you have help from big dudes. Per the Marineland website, my glass weighs 396 lbs.
