Moving a 240 Gallon

Just bought a 240 Gallon tank (8'x2'x2') with a stand. Moving company quoted me $187 to move it. The tank weighs a lot and i was told i would need around 7-8 guys to lift it. I figure the uhaul will be around $77 with mileage and insurance. Should I just go with the moving company which insures all its work or get 7-8 of my buddies together lift the tank and buy them dinner?
 
better to be safe than sorry spend the extra doe because if they break it they have to replace it if u break it then that sucks
 
7-8 guys to move a 240? Only if the guys are toothpicks!! I use two people to move up to 300 gallons glass tanks. I just moved a 420 gallon with 4 people.
 
I have moved my old 240Glass with 3 guys and load it in my truck and unloaded with no problem. Depends on the person moving it good Luck!!
 
with suction cups that i rent from my lfs it took only 3 ppl to load and unload a 265
 
id say all depends on the tank my boss bought a 300 gal took 6 to lift it was one inch glass
