I Need to bring a new tank into my house but the tank is to wide so i will need to turn it on its side to bring it into the house do u have any tips on how to do this?
My 200G didn't fit through my lift or front door... so yes it is possible with a lot of care and man power... best thing would be to get some sort of flat wood trolly with some soft material on top of it so as not to scratch or damage the tank + it will help support the tank a bit, then just slowly and very carefully move it inside...
yeah i was gonna say "very carefully" ... sliding it on a piece of cardboard or something similar may be useful too ... all depends on the actual size of it really ... skateboards have been utilized before too
I moved a 450 in on its side. Just go easy, its not a big deal. The one I moved had a broken top panel too, so it wasn't as well braced as I would have liked it to have been, but it came right in and flipped back with out any ill effects.
With a few strong boys this can be brought in without any carts or dollies. Be very carefull and watch out for the door jams and door knobs.. The door knob seems to want reach out and grab you in this type of situation.
Lol ya I got the biggest tank I could possibly find that would fit through a door, no prob putting it on it's side, just put the back side down so you wont scratch it if you need to put it down
The old saying applies "many hands make the load light". When I moved my 210g (72x24x29) into my house I had 6 people to help. I could have done it with less but it went very smooth and safe.
