I'm in the process of moving my rubber lip pleco out of his current tank where he is getting picked on, down to another tank (that has been running for over a year) where it will be just him and some guppies at the moment, although I do plan to add some cory cats in about a month. but my problem is thus -
In the process of removing him from his current tank and getting him into a bucket, he has become a very nervous fish and is now wedged in a corner of the bucket and is rather well attached.
I don't want to pry him out as I may hurt him. I've added a bit of water from the new tank into the bucket and and keeping an eye on the temp, should I just wait for him to relax and move on his own? Or is there anything else I could do to convince him (should I just do the water changes until the bucket is equal to the new tank and try to just.... dump him in?)
