I am moving pretty soon and I was hoping to gain some insight on how to move my tank and fish. I have a 75 gallon aquarium and two tiger oscars and some cory cat's. I am moving about 100 miles and I was just wondering how to go about the whole thing? Thanks for any help.

Use coolers to move the fish. Put air tubing through the drain, silicone it in place, and make sure noe water leaks, and hook the air tubing up to a portable air pump. I move stingrays this way and they were in it for two days.

If you want to add heat pack, just line the cooler with a 50 gallon trash bag, bring the tubing up the side and into the bag, and just loosely tie it shut, enough so water won't come out, but enough so that, air can escape. Then just place a heat pack on top of the bag, but I don't think you will really need one for ocars.

Keep your filter media "alive" and you wont have to cycle the tank again. (as long as you have sufficient biological filtration)

Good advice. Could always use bag buddies too, just a bit, in order to keep the fish less stressed. Some folks advise against it, but I have had good luck moving more sensitive fish, like Discus, with it.
