I've had a peacock eel for about 2 months now or so, and since day 1 I have had to feed it through a dropper or the other fish will get all the worms before the poor thing gets a chance.

It's about 4" long, give or take, will I always have to continue this process even after switching to earth and black worms?

I believe so. im own a fire eel, and some other fish. Whenever i feed market shrimp, the other fish will get it before my fire eel does. What i do is, i use a long stick to feed my fire eel. this keep the other fish away.

I hand feed my fire eel raw prawn mixed with carnivore pellets and if I didn't hand feed it would never get enough food to survive. If you don't want to hand feed try to feed the other fish flakes/pellets before you try to feed him.

I do try and feed the other fish before I feed it, to try and make it easier on both of us. I constantly have to chase the others away since they have now caught on what the dropper means.
Oh well, was just curious. Thanks!

Try feeding a couple hours after lights out. I put food directly in front of them and by the time the other fish wake up and figure out there getting another meal the eels have a chance to get a fair amount of food.
