Anyone seen or heard of this stuff or currently use it ..

And this may be a noobie question but this will eliminate ammonia and nitrites? ,.. will it remove nitrates?
and if this does help with nitrates and supposed to be better then bio balls or non moving bio media
How much should i use for a 350 gallon tank ? because this is what i was thinking for a DIY project and it will contain 3 gallons worth of this k1 media in one of the 5 gallon buckets and on the other side will be finewater polishing pads and carbon before going back into the tank and also on the side with the k1 i will have a way of putting and air fixture in their for a 5 inch air disc

Anyone's advise or suggestions to maybe make this a really good 1'st try, would be greatly appritiated

Or just any overall comments to this subject

It looks like a well designed bio-filter media, which if given the proper amount of flow and oxygen should work very efficiently. But like any bio-filter media, it will produce nitrates. I don't see how it can reduce the nitrate level.

It produces nitrates, good stuff though. Its pretty cool to see it tumbling around, You can use airstones or powerheads to tumble it. If you use airstones though you might need a few, I've seen setup where they have 4 or 5 small stones zipped tied down to make the media tumble properly.

i have 2x 1000liter tanks for filtration of a 9000liter fish tank.first filter tank has mechanical and hundreds of pot scrubbers.the second 1000lter filter tank has about 300 liters of fluidised k1,seems to work great,no maintenance for k1and keeps params good, dont think it removes nitrates.feeding 1kilo of frozen fish every 2 days, loads of pellets fruit and veg.i think for koi they say 50liters of k1 will deal with 250 grams of food a day.hope this helps
