so i plan on moving what is the best for my fish, would i just drain the tank completly and put the fish in bags. should i save the old water and put it back in at new location or should my hob and fluval 305 hold enough bb to add new water. also when putting fish in bags can i use my air pumps to add air to does in need to be oxygen?

Your hob. canister, and substrate will hold enough BBs but you should still take as much water with you as possible. I would get a few 5 gal buckets atleast (cheap at home depot) and drop fish and water in there. Def get a battery pump with an airstone.

ill look for a batt pump. its also only about a 30min move

ya but you still need time to set up your tank etc etc. Better safe then sorry. Those things are cheap anyway.

no need for an air pump for that short of time. but save as much water as possible, plastic totes are super cheap and work well. drain the tank, put all your media and fish in the totes, move, and setup. its easy but stressfull, gotta do everything right the first time.
