New, vinegar-washed white T-shirts. Just transferring? Wrap firmly and walk quickly. Driving across town? Aerated rubbermaid containers. You need at least two people for this. Rubber gloves are a fine idea. Also, do an hour of reading about clove oil sedation and think carefully about whether or not this is a viable option for you and your fish.

pillow cases work great. also you can put a large bucket int he tank with small holes all around it and chase the fish into it and then lift the bucket up and wait for all the water to drain out, but if you use this method you need another bucket with water in it to put the fish in right after you take it out.

^ both of these and watch your hands hah

i moved my 7" jd in a bucket with a battery powered air pump when i moved. you might be able to do the same with a big rubbermaid tub or a bucket big enough.

Pretty much this. For air breathers I wouldn't bother with airation myself. I have not personally used clove oil.

I have used this method on larger(24"+) gator and longnose gars, bowfin, niger catfish without any issues.

If transfering a longer distance I prefer to use rubbermaid containers that are just large enough for the fish, that way if they freak out they are a little more contained and don't hurt themselves as much when thrashing about.

put a dog harness on them, and let them walk themselves. should be easy. I've read they can outrun cheetahs and live out of water for months.

How far you moving them? I like coolers my self helps hold heat better and so forth.

Lol that's a great idea. Leave fluffy locked in a room to be safe.
