My bristlenose pleco pair have just laid their 2nd batch of eggs. The bulk of the fry from the first batch I've lost due to being an idiot and keeping them in the main tank where my black skirt tetras ate them.
I have a 5.5 gallon hospital that I think would make a good initial tank till they are large enough to not become a quick snack.
The eggs are currently being tended by the male in his chosen ceramic cave. What would be the best way to go about moving them? Just lift the tube up, male and all, and put it in the new tank? Get the male out and put the tube in? Wait till the eggs hatch and move the tube full of fry over without the male?
Thanks for any advice.
