I have a breeding pair of Jewels that have week old fry. I picked up a 35 gallon hex to replace their 29. How do I move the fry safely?

You could always try a turkey baster to suck them up and then slowly acclimate.

I will be using most of the water and the filter out of the tank they are in now. Could I safely use a siphon hose?

I wouldn't use the hose, i did that once and killed half the fry.. I just wait until they are free swimming and net them out..

Net would be better than a hose IMO

OK, net it is. Thanks guys.

You can use a fish trap, bottle concept (top of the 2L pop bottle cut off and inverted...). Add holes to the top of the bottle that are big enough for the fry but not the parents - the fry will go in with the parents, then you can separate them using the holes and put the parents back into the main tank. May or may not be more stressful than a net.. your call there ;P
