Ok, tommorrow im going on a short trip (3 hour drive), and need to deliver a few small fish to my brother.

Im transporting a betta, which I can imagine wont be a problem, but i also want to take him a few guppy fry which just dropped about 2 days ago. Any suggestions on this, or how to transport fish in general for future reference?

you'll need a bag, water, and depending on the temp a heat pack...that's about it since there small fish

O i thought it was going to be somthing major because i would have said get a battery powered air pump for sure.. just in case

ive moved large numbers of my fish that distance successfully without heat or added oxygen tablets, just a battery powered air pump. for the cost of the fish you are moving, i wouldnt spend much on it, though a battery powered pump is always handy to have around

I have had to move several large goldfish before and i just used some large containers and a battery powered air pump. Trip was only about an hour and I was probably just paranoid but it worked well.

if you look at it like this just throw some water in a bag with the fish and go

I prefer the 5 gallon bucket, with a few holes on-top.

More water volume, more o2, more space, and temp won't change as quick. I've taken fish on 8 hour trips in buckets no sweat.
