moving fish

Well im wanting to move some fish around in my tanks im wanting to take just about every thing in my 200g out and move my polys from their 125g into the 200g and those fish into the 125 since im hopping to get a couple more polys next week what do I do just put them all in bags and let them acclimate to the temps of the tank just as I would do buying a new fish.

I would start swapping buckets of water back and forth one at a time for a wile then the water will be mixed between the 2 tanks the you can get them all in the same water smoother than flowing them in a bag???
