Hello folks,
I'm moving house in the next few weeks and am looking for some advice on how to make this move go as easily as possible. My new place is a 2 minute drive away and I have a tank full of fish to move. 2 black rays, one at 11 inches and the other at 5, several clown loach and a number of large dither fish. I currently have a 200 gallon tank that I am going to upgrade soon for something custom with more width.
The question is, do I buy the tank and have it built and then just transfer the fish, or would it be possible to make this move without buying the new tank just and using my existing tank. I would prefer to wait a bit before buying the new tank as this would give me enough time to support the floor before having the new tank installed. The house is ground floor with part on suspended floor and the other solid concrete.
How would I go about moving my rays, other fish and 200 gallon tank without risking the fish? I have two externals currently on my tank, so I could possibly buy a holding tank to set up and move one over as I will have a two week peroid where I will have keys to both properties.
Any help would be amazing!
