I would ask a local fish store to board your Oscar for a week or so, might have to pay them some small fee. Then you can take your time moving the tank and re-setting it up, and get the fish when you are ready.
One thing to consider is your cycle will probably die- clean everything very well and re-cycle the tank before putting the Oscar back in is probably your best bet. Or you can buy Dr. Tim's bacterial cultures and do it that way. Or, if your really lucky, LFS will let you put your filter on one of their tanks for the time being, and when you get the fish you can grab that too. Bacteria should live through an hour drive just fine.
