My male Blue Acara passed away today and the small mother is having a really hard time protecting the eggs from the salvini/clown loaches in the tank... they've already eaten a couple of them. She looks very stressed so I decided to divide the tank.

I divided the tank using plexiglass but I want to put her on the other side of the divider where the filter outtake is, so the fry don't get sucked by the intake once they hatch (happened last time).

She laid eggs on a small rock, so I can easily move it, but my question is will she eat the eggs due to the stress that moving her might cause? I'm gonna try to do it as fast as possible.

nope if u move them put the eggs in there own tank

Why not just put a piece of 30 PPI size foam, or something similar, over the filter intake to insure that the fry wont get sucked in....don't move the eggs!!
