I have a 210 upstairs at my dads and I'm moving to my moms. I have 2 large arowanas along with 2 large peacockbass an alligator gar and an syn eupt. so im not really sure how im gonna get this done, i know there isnt a way ill be able to move the tank without keeping the water, cause i need to put the fish back into something im kind of confused. Also, after moving the tank would it be wise to re add the gravel, or could i do bare bottom and make it easier on the cleaning.

How far are you moving them?

awe, that sucks.. So much work for a 5 minute trip.. Keep as much water as possible, in 5 gal buckets or whatever.. How big are the fish?

well the arowanas are maybe 1ft + and the peacocks are 11inch + the alligator gar is maybe 8-9 inches and the syn isnt too big should i keep gravel i want to get a bichir too

I have done bare bottom tanks and I didn't like it. I have also tried varies sizes and types of gravel/rocks. I prefer substrate on the bottom of the tank. I don't make it very thick though.

Use a number of full size trash cans. Put a clean trash bag as a liner in each. Have the trash cans empty in the back of a truck or van. Partially fill the trash cans with buckets pumped or siphoned from you tank. Put the fish in the trash cans after netting them. Finish draining the tank. Put the gravel and any decor in buckets. Move tank and stand. Partially refill tank with heated and dechlorinated water. Add fish. Top off with water from trashcans! Easy!

i forgot to mention my mom has a 110 gallon i believe but it hasnt had a water change in like 14 years and it has a GT and several gouramis in it

uve got a good point, do you think its gonna take a long time to empty the gravel from the tank before i actually begin to move it, and wont the fish by then lose a good amount of oxygen or will i have a pretty large amount of time?
