So my colony of Red Head Tapajos has outgrown their 30g and I bought a used 55g. I couldn't clean all the calcification stains out, so I let it sit in very dilute bleach solution (1 cap for 55g) for 2 days. I then emptied it and have filled it back up and emptied it 5 times. Is it safe to use yet? It was outside dry for a few days too, does the bleach break down? Will post pics after the transfer, they are looking really good.

As long as you didn't use bleach with things like perfumes and it was just 100% bleach, you should be fine. Or, as Joe said, just add a bunch of dechlor and run the tank for a while with the filters going, then empty and refill. If you can't smell it then it should be fine.

Everytime I've bought a tank off Craigslist, I use a spray bottle filled with pure bleach and I soak every inch of that thing. Then rinse it out well, let it dry for a couple days and then fill with water, use dechlor and let it run for a day or two. Then empty and fill again & your good to go.

Chlorine (in bleach) gasses off in time, so you're probably ok. Also, if you're adding a water conditioner this should neutralize anything left over. Still, if it was me I'd probably test with a cheaper fish just to be sure.
