I'm going to move my 10-11" jardini to my main tank that's with a 25" clown knife (peaceful), three 15-16" florida gars and two 16-17" alligator gars. Anyone got any input on guessing if this will work long term?
I just moved my 14" Jar in with 2 18" Clowns. My jar almost murder them during those 2 days. The clowns tails were stripped to the white meat (It's now bloody red). My jar was in a another tank with all kinds of little cats and blood parrots and flowerhorn pair(never had a problem). Now my jar is in a tank by himself. Just be sure to monitor aggression.
How big is your tank? Have the current fish been in there for a long time?
I've heard lots of bad stories about jars and aggression. I've always thought it came down to an individual fish as far as aggression goes, but I guess not so much with jars.
I'd remove the Gars. The Aro and Gar will fight over territorie because they both like to swim at the top and with Jardinis they don't like other fish at the top.
