Moving my red terror

Well, I decided today was the day to move my red terror from its grow out tank into the big tank. I was a bit nervous as it is not the biggest, I had some fish close to the same size and they were not bothered by the big boys. Anyway, the change in both colour and personality has been drastic...... In the grow out tank it was always very pale and always hiding, however in the big tank it seems confident and even worn its best suit/dress.

Apologies for the poor attempt at growing java fern!

haha I remember I used to hear Festaes are the hardest to seeeex. (they are actually some of the easiest)

here we have a 100% sure female grow out.

Thanks guys, I got it at just bigger than swimming fry. To say I was a bit apprehensive is a bit of an understatement! But, all is fine for now.....

Animal guy - what are the signs for sexing these?

to me fire colors and the black blotch on the mohawk are the signs. she got them both in bold

Its a female for sure... a good looking one at her size. I can't wait to see the future update on her.

The fish is showing good color. What size is the fish. Can't tell from the picture.
