Okay guys, I have something thats really baffling me right now..
Unfortunately I need to move my 150 gallon tank and stand about 3 feet forward so I can house my sump system behind it. Currently it is completely full with water/fish (alot of them)...
What would be the best possible way to accomplish this feat?
Also I want to raise my tank about 2 feet up, is there something I can place under the stand (cement blocks? wood? metal?) anything will help me...
It is a wrought iron stand with 6 stems coming from the tank connecting to a full rectangle on the bottom.

The only thing I can thing of is placing a 2x4 under the tank and car jacking it up, but idk how to move it once I have it up...

Hello; Someone on the forum may have a technique, but I do not move tanks when full of water. I have moved small tanks with only small amount of water, but nothing over 20 gallons.

I suspect that the issue will be that jacking at any point will result in a flexing in the stand. Flexing will likely transfer to the glass and may break a seal or the glass.

I remove all the fish , water and gravel when moving any but the smaller tanks

Obviuosly you will need to drain it downI am wonder why you want to raise it 2 feet. If that is what you are going to do I would do it from the base (floor).

basically I need more room to fit my sump system behind it. And since I'm moving it I would like to raise it so I can sit a couch in front of it and half the tank wont be hidden. I'm just wondering If i can sit cinder blocks under the stand itself and they will hold. This really isnt a trial and error kinda thing..
