OK take a look at my sig... now I need to move it this saturday.

I want to keep all fish and bring them all along... what is the best way to keep the fish alive in buckets for about 12 hours. Plus how to keep biofilters still alive so tanks don't all recycle??? The tanks are the easy part to move its the livestock and filters.

To keep your BB alive in the filter media use an battery operated air pump and just buy a small bottle of ammonia and just dose it and your good to go. For the fish get large rubbermaid containers along with more battery operated air pumps. I see you live a little north of me and might be a little colder up there so if it is just put a small heat pack in each rubbermaid filled with fish. You have a big move on your hands good luck to you!

When I move fish I use a cooler equiped with a battery operated air pump. The cooler helps maintain the temp and the air pump provides the areation.

First let me say I don't envy you task. I have maid several moves in the past and don't miss it.
Cross 127 has it right, that is how I have done in the past.
The only thing I would add is to use Baggie Buddies they will add oxygen to the water & reduce the stress levels.

one thing though can the media like the biomax and sponges and such be in the same container with the fish??? that way they will produce some waste??? it wouldn't hurt the fish would it??? it wouldn't make sense if it did

The saltwater I have no idea.
The others I would put in coolers or rubbermaid tubs, definitly bubblers for the discus the others you should be able to get away with, use bag buddies or ammolock to be sure.Of course bubblers for all if you can manage it.Rinse your biomedia in tank water then you could sick it in with the fish, but for just 12 hours Id say you could just store it in tank water.Good Luck!!!
